Mizuho Securities shared their key takeaways from the panel discussion with Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NASDAQ:) CTO & EVP, Mark Papermaster, at the Mizuho Software Conference 2023.
These included a growing interest in “open-source, hardware non-specific” AI architecture like MI300A/X in the Cloud and Enterprise sectors, potential resolutions for data portability issues through software containers, increased software focus with a significant headcount increase, and the introduction of Siena, a low-power roadmap with 64 cores designed for telco/edge and hyperscale applications.
Mizuho reaffirmed its Buy rating and a $140 price target for AMD, expecting strong market share capture with MI300X in H1/2024.
The company is set to report its Q3/23 earnings on Oct 31.
