Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:), which rose 2.74% or 69.00 points to trade at 2,588.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:) added 1.62% or 86.00 points to end at 5,396.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:) was up 1.51% or 430.00 points to 28,950.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.05% or 90.00 points to trade at 2,865.00 at the close. Shikun & Binui (TASE:) declined 2.96% or 27.40 points to end at 900.00 and Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.64% or 170.00 points to 6,271.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 239 to 219 and 38 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.35% or 0.28 to $79.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.29% or 0.24 to hit $83.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.85 to trade at $1,947.25 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.01% to 3.79, while EUR/ILS rose 0.70% to 4.10.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.78.
