India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 0.55%

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in NSE, the added 0.55%, while the index gained 0.55%.

The best performers of the session on the were Bajaj Finserv Ltd (NS:), which rose 5.60% or 86.40 points to trade at 1,628.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Bajaj Finance Ltd (NS:) added 3.81% or 299.10 points to end at 8,150.00 and Titan Company Ltd (NS:) was up 2.81% or 90.50 points to 3,307.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (NS:), which fell 0.79% or 19.95 points to trade at 2,499.60 at the close. Coal India Ltd (NS:) declined 0.64% or 1.85 points to end at 287.50 and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (NS:) was down 0.38% or 0.70 points to 181.50.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BO:) which rose 5.86% to 1,632.80, Bajaj Finance Ltd (BO:) which was up 4.05% to settle at 8,167.50 and Titan Company Ltd (BO:) which gained 2.98% to close at 3,311.15.

The worst performers were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (BO:) which was down 0.93% to 2,498.75 in late trade, Asian Paints Ltd. (BO:) which lost 0.37% to settle at 3,193.65 and Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which was down 0.29% to 926.05 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 1315 to 724 and 57 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 2206 rose and 1312 declined, while 150 ended unchanged.

Shares in Bajaj Finance Ltd (NS:) rose to all time highs; up 3.81% or 299.10 to 8,150.00. Shares in Bajaj Finance Ltd (BO:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.05% or 318.25 to 8,167.50.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was down 5.85% to 10.30 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.29% or 5.25 to $1,837.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.50% or 0.41 to hit $82.72 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.43% or 0.36 to trade at $84.43 a barrel.

USD/INR was down 0.20% to 83.19, while EUR/INR rose 0.04% to 87.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.01.
