Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 1.03%, while the index lost 0.88%, and the index lost 0.91%.

The best performers of the session on the were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.23% or 0.22 points to trade at 10.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 1.62% or 0.22 points to end at 13.78 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was up 0.94% or 0.28 points to 30.14 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 3.23% or 0.95 points to trade at 28.43 at the close. Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.21% or 2.22 points to end at 66.90 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 3.14% or 1.08 points to 33.35.

The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which rose 6.40% to 42.72, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 1.82% to settle at 35.29 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 0.83% to close at 668.50.

The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 3.70% to 38.16 in late trade, RTL Group SA (ETR:) which lost 3.20% to settle at 35.72 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.15% to 11.83 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which rose 6.40% to 42.72, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 1.82% to settle at 35.29 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 1.19% to close at 16.19.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 5.06% to 80.75 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.15% to settle at 11.83 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.14% to 33.35 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 445 to 202 and 96 ended unchanged.

Shares in Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.94% or 0.28 to 30.14.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.71% to 17.81.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.60 to $1,947.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.75% or 0.62 to hit $83.44 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.63 to trade at $87.03 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 102.71.
