Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.13%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.13% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index added 0.35%, and the index gained 0.85%.

The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 3.83% or 6.70 points to trade at 181.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) added 3.04% or 1.56 points to end at 52.80 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.31% or 2.65 points to 117.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 7.03% or 16.10 points to trade at 213.00 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:) declined 2.45% or 3.34 points to end at 133.08 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.25% or 0.14 points to 11.06.

The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 5.41% to 24.74, Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was up 4.54% to settle at 84.24 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which gained 2.87% to close at 34.36.

The worst performers were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which was down 2.76% to 47.25 in late trade, Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which lost 1.91% to settle at 8.10 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 1.45% to 8.69 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which rose 3.04% to 52.80, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was up 2.94% to settle at 75.40 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 2.60% to close at 90.90.

The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.18% to 29.64 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which lost 0.46% to settle at 19.80 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 0.45% to 13.21 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 348 to 296 and 97 ended unchanged.

Shares in Adidas AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.83% or 6.70 to 181.50.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.26% to 15.28.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.55 to $1,963.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.17% or 0.92 to hit $79.66 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.86% or 0.71 to trade at $83.19 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.16.
