Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the added 0.21%, while the index added 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the were Stellantis NV (EPA:), which rose 0.97% or 0.16 points to trade at 16.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Vinci SA (EPA:) added 0.79% or 0.80 points to end at 102.34 and Engie SA (EPA:) was up 0.74% or 0.11 points to 14.79 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:), which fell 1.16% or 0.55 points to trade at 47.01 at the close. Alstom SA (EPA:) declined 1.02% or 0.26 points to end at 25.32 and Worldline SA (EPA:) was down 0.94% or 0.28 points to 29.65.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were JC Decaux SA (EPA:) which rose 3.19% to 16.81, Nexity (EPA:) which was up 1.40% to settle at 14.48 and Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which gained 1.19% to close at 11.90.

The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:) which was down 2.75% to 6.23 in late trade, Elior Group (EPA:) which lost 2.55% to settle at 2.07 and SES Imagotag (EPA:) which was down 1.87% to 104.80 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 271 to 224 and 114 ended unchanged.

Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 0.94% or 0.28 to 29.65.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 9.65 to $1,937.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.53% or 0.42 to hit $79.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.62 to trade at $83.98 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.12.
