Fisker (FSR) to ramp production and accelerate deliveries

Fisker (NYSE:) announced Thursday the company’s plan to increase production of the Fisker Ocean all-electric SUV in September, as well as expanding retail, delivery, and service operations across multiple markets in North America and Europe.

“Our customers and reservation holders are always our priority, and we’re thanking everyone for their patience as we begin the ramp-up of daily production of the Fisker Ocean this month and through the fourth quarter,” said CEO Henrik Fisker.

The anticipated increase in vehicle production will see a rise from around 180 vehicles per day to about 300 per day by the fourth quarter of 2023, and Fisker is collaborating with suppliers to reach this production rate by October.

Fisker expects to have all 5,000 Fisker Ocean One launch edition vehicles delivered by Magna by September 30, 2023. While the company aims to complete as many deliveries as possible by the end of September, it’s possible that some deliveries may extend into October.

All of the launch edition vehicles will come equipped with the latest Fisker software version (version 1.06), which incorporates enhancements based on customer feedback. Customers should anticipate additional software updates in the upcoming weeks, with ongoing improvements designed to enhance the user experience.

Shares of FSR are down 0.41% in early trading Thursday morning.
