Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.58%

 

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the rose 1.58%.

The best performers of the session on the were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:), which rose 2.81% or 29.80 points to trade at 1,091.40 at the close. Meanwhile, ISS A/S (CSE:) added 1.29% or 1.80 points to end at 141.15 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:) was up 1.20% or 12.00 points to 1,015.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:), which fell 1.51% or 4.00 points to trade at 260.20 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:) declined 1.23% or 2.22 points to end at 177.60 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:) was down 0.71% or 3.50 points to 489.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 66 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.22% or 1.01 to $81.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.16% or 1.00 to hit $85.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 8.15 to trade at $1,967.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.77, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.90.
