AutoZone (AZO) today announced that Bill Rhodes decided to relinquish his positions as President and CEO, effective January 2024.

Rhodes, who will become Executive Chairman of the Board, will be succeeded by Philip Daniele as a CEO. Daniele, a 29-year AutoZoner and currently Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain, will also join the Board of Directors as a member.

Rhodes has held the positions of President, CEO, and Board of Directors member since March 2005. In June 2007, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Board.
