U.S. stocks open higher as Dow rises nearly 150 points ahead of Fed decision and Powell’s comments

U.S. stock indexes were trading higher on Wednesday morning ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision and comments, while oil prices retreated further from 10-month highs and Treasury yields also eased from multi-year highs.

On Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 107 points, or 0.31%, to 34,518, the S&P 500 declined 10 points, or 0.22%, to 4,444, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 32 points, or 0.23%, to 13,678.
