VF Taps Ex-Logitech Chief Bracken Darrell for CEO

By Dean Seal

The apparel and footwear company VF has hired Bracken Darrell, who stepped down from Logitech International last week, to be its next chief executive.

VF, known for brands including Vans and Timberland, said Tuesday that the board has appointed Darrell president and CEO starting July 17.

Darrell resigned last week from Logitech, the maker of peripherals for PCs, tablets, and other digital platforms. He had served as the company’s president and CEO since 2013.

At VF, Darrell is taking over for Benno Dorer, a director since 2017 who stepped in as interim CEO in December following the retirement of Steven Rendle. Dorer will continue to serve as a board member.

Richard Carucci, a director since 2009 who stepped in as interim chair following Rendle’s retirement, will succeed Rendle as chair of the board.
