Oil prices end higher on signs of tighter supplies

Oil futures finished a bit higher on Tuesday, supported by signs of tighter supplies on the back of speculation that the Biden administration is looking to refill the government’s emergency oil reserve.

Prices for crude had spent part of Tuesday’s session trading lower as Chinese crude imports reportedly declined in April and one analyst attributed the price weakness to ‘escalating recessionary fears’.
