Ocean Harvest Technology Shares Rise on Positive Feed-Trial Results

By Anthony O. Goriainoff

Ocean Harvest Technology Group shares rose Monday after the company said that its recently-completed feed trials had shown the benefits of its products.

Shares at 0813 GMT were up 2.75 pence, or 19%, at 17 pence.

The London-listed animal feed-additive manufacturer said that the results showed the efficacy of its OceanFeed product in improving animal performance across a range of species.

The company said that, among others, its laying-hen trial confirmed improvements in egg production and feed efficiency which increased income per hen, and that a catfish trial showed fish fed with OceanFeed Aqua had higher feed intake and weight gain, leading to a substantial increase in final weight.

The company said the growing data across multiple species was helpful in driving new customer adoption, and that this was an important aspect of its revenue growth.

“OHT will continue to invest in developing our product portfolio, and we are confident that the significant benefits of our products will support future customer growth,” Chief Executive Mark Williams said.
