KB Home stock rises on earnings beat, outlook

shares rose in the extended session Wednesday after the home builder’s results and outlook topped Wall Street estimates. KB Home shares rose as much as 4% after hours, following a 1.9% rise in the regular session to close at $52.01. The company reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $164.4 million, or $1.94 a share, compared with $210.6 million, or $2.32 a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $1.77 billion from $1.72 billion in the year-ago quarter. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast $1.33 a share on revenue of $1.43 billion. KB Home forecast full-year revenue of $5.8 billion to $6.2 billion, while analysts expect $5.67 billion.
