Johnson Controls Sees Disruptions After Cyber Incident

By Ben Glickman

Johnson Controls International said it was experiencing disruptions following a cybersecurity incident.

The Cork, Ireland-based home-automation company said it was still evaluating the incident’s effect on financial results, but that it is expected to continue disrupting operations.

The company said it was determining whether the cyber incident will affect the timely release of fourth-quarter financial results.

Johnson Controls said its internal information technology infrastructure and applications had been affected. The company began an investigation with the help of external experts.

The company said many of its applications were unaffected and remained operational, and that it has put in place workarounds for certain operations to prevent greater disruption.
