By Dean Seal

Fisker said it is gradually ramping up production of its electric Fisker Ocean SUV to meet customer demand.

The electric vehicle maker said Monday that it has been upping production with the goal of building between 1,400 and 1,700 vehicles by the end of June.

Fisker plans to increase production further in the third quarter to support the delivery roll-out for the rest of its global launch markets as well as its 2023 volume forecast of 32,000 to 36,000 vehicles.

Fisker also said Monday that the next phase of deliveries for Fisker Ocean One, its launch edition of the new SUV line, will start in June in the U.S. and European markets.

“I am excited about our next customers’ deliveries coming up, and we will inform our first customers shortly on timing as we are finalizing the schedule now,” CEO Henrik Fisker said.

Shares ticked up 1.8% to $6.20 in premarket trading Monday.
