Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 1.12 points to trade at 12.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Advanced Industries Co. (TADAWUL:) added 5.98% or 1.80 points to end at 31.90 and Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:) was up 5.84% or 0.23 points to 4.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabian Contracting Services Company CJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 5.91% or 11.00 points to trade at 175.00 at the close. Saudi Pharmaceutical Appliances (TADAWUL:) declined 4.63% or 2.00 points to end at 41.15 and Saudi Ground Services Co (TADAWUL:) was down 4.56% or 1.75 points to 36.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 156 to 114 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.84% or 0.23 to 4.17.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.85% or 1.99 to $71.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $76.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 1.25 to trade at $1,930.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.09, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 102.74.
