Dufry Passes Share Threshold to Delist Autogrill

By David Sachs

Dufry said late Friday that it now owns enough shares of Autogrill to squeeze out minority stakeholders and delist the company.

The Swiss travel retailer said its shares in the acquisition of the Italian-based catering company have passed 96%. That total includes ordinary shares of Autogrill already held by Dufry and treasury shares owned by Autogrill, Dufry said.

“Dufry will therefore be able to initiate the squeeze-out procedure, which will result in Dufry holding all of Autogrill’s shares, and delisting Autogrill,” Dufry said.

Dufry said it plans to issue about 410,000 new shares related to the tendering of the sell-out procedure starting Friday.
