Petrofac’s Auditor Reappointment Passes With Low Shareholder Support

By Michael Susin

Petrofac said Friday that a resolution to reappoint its auditors was approved with low shareholder support at the annual general meeting.

The London-listed provider of services to the energy industry said that resolution 12 to reappoint Ernst & Young as auditors passed with only 72.92% of the votes for.

Resolutions regarding pre-emption rights and authority to allot shares were also approved but received more than 27% of votes against.

The company said that it will engage with shareholders who voted against the resolutions to understand their concerns, in accordance with the U.K. corporate governance code.
